Milo Ventimiglia

Name: Milo Ventimiglia

Where You See Him Now
Playing Peter Petrelli, the awesome nurse-turned-special-guy-with-special-powers-and-an-awesome destiny in Heroes. (Yup, you meet those all the time!)

Where You’ve Seen Him Before
Gilmore Girls He played Jess for three years, Luke’s troubled nephew who stole Rory Gilmore’s heart. (Milo and Alexis Bledel, who played Rory, were a serious couple for many years as well.)

American Dreams Milo played another troubled heartbreaker, Chris, who evades the Vietnam War draft and falls in love with Brittany Snow’s character Meg Pryor

What his surname means: “venti” means “20” and “miglia” means “miles” (Milo Twentymiles?)

Where he’s from: Milo is a honest-to-goodness OC boy! He’s from Orange County, California.

No wonder his coloring is so great: Milo’s dark hair combined with fair features come from his parental mix of an Italian father and Scotch-Irish-Scandinavian-Native American mother.

What Ate’s can only do! His two older sisters (who are “blonde and blue-eyed!” he claims) used him as their personal dress-up doll when he was a kid, outfitting him as a 80s-style Madonna! “All pictures have been destroyed!” he told Ellen Degeneres when he appeared on her show.

Clean living! He became a vegetarian at age 8. In a USA Today story in 2006, Milo admitted he rebelled in his early teens, but he decided to reduce his alcohol consumption at 18 and by 22 he gave up booze entirely.

Geek In The Ink: Though you may have seen Milo as Fergie’s tough guy dealer (?) boyfriend in her video for “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” in real life, Milo sports a mere three tattoos (on his chest, leg and shoulder).

Crooked Grin? Milo was born with a one-sided smile. His explains his “crooked” mouth is a birth defect—the nerves are dead in his lower lip.

Picture Worthy: “I'm really into photography,” Milo told TeenHollywood. “Photography is my hobby. I like taking pictures. I haven't really gotten into digital. I've tried but I like film. I'm a big film guy. I just got an assignment for a magazine where it's all Polaroid. That's cool to capture a different medium and different format. I like to see the way that we see as people. I like to see a large range as opposed to a little box.”
